CHRISTMAS DO '99

Thursday 9th December 1999, 7pm

Malcolm

Pentagram's Christmas meal 1999 was always going to be unusual, and Malcolm did us proud in choosing the Thai Orchard Restaurant, Banbury.

Malcolm and I thought the starting time was 6.30pm, and enjoyed a very pleasant Thai beer until everyone else arrive at 7.10pm!

The Boys

Brian and Richard (the younger).

Honouring us, were two of Asger's favourite Americans - C.S. and Frank B. - don't ask me what their initials stand for - I guess it must be something quite embarrassing!!?

C.S. and Asger

Frank B. and Dunc

Guess who!

Smokers

Above are Roy(deciding whether to stay or not), Ste, Rich (the elder), Dave (sleeping), Rich (again) and Mike(happy).

Poor Andy!

Andy, being a true Yorkshireman, couldn't stomach the thought of eating Thai food and went home ill before the first course.

Here's the company organiser, our Kitty!

Glamourous Kittty!

HOT soup

Rich starting to get a bit giggly, with the red hot chicken soup - not just its temperature! beyond anyone’s experience.

Serious concentration on important matters - such as eating something before Richard and Brian finish it off!

Rich a bit giggly again.

Kitty telling us yet another cracking joke!!

Rich a bit giggly again.

Dave somewhat amused.

Duncan, being at the head of the table, had to defend us from all sorts of undesirables. Here is a typical occasion when an uncouth Rugby player started to talk business and I believe wanted a quote for an EMTEST package. Needless to say Duncan soon got rid of him!

Rich a bit giggly again.

A Lone drinker.

What's in this one?

Asger recommended that I eat this delicious banana and needle sugar pudding. BUT look how much he left!

It was a very good 'do' indeed. Many thanks to Kitty for organising it!
