Crunchy Oat Biscuits

Here are my tasty biscuits, which Nagihan loves to eat but can't make successfully!

41/2oz

porridge oats

75g

3oz

white sugar

110g

4oz

butter

  

Heat your oven to 190 deg C (375 deg F, gas 5)

Grease with butter, or cover in baking paper, a shallow casserole lid 20cm (8") diameter

Mix the oats and sugar evenly in a bowl

Melt the butter gently (microwave carefully!) and then pour it into the bowl too. Mix thoroughly.

Put the mixture into the casserole lid and press it down evenly with your fingers

Cook in the middle of your oven for 15 minutes, or until a very light golden colour

Remove from the oven and cut the mixture while its still warm into 12 pieces

When cold, store the biscuits airtight.
